Alloy MA14

Designation

Name The value
Designation GOST Cyrillic МА14
Designation GOST Latin MA14
Transliteration MA14
By chemical elements CuAl14

Description

The MA14 alloy used: for the manufacture of semi-finished products (sheets, plates, rods, sheets, tubes, wire, stampings and forgings) by hot deformation; extruded sections with cross sectional area up to 12 cm2 and a diameter of the circumscribed circle of up to 150 mm; ingots and slabs intended for the production of highly loaded parts operating with extreme operating temperature +150 °C — long, up to +200 °C — short-term.

Mg is the basis.
According to GOST 14957-76 the mass fraction of other impurities is ≤ 0.30%. "Other impurities" include impurities whose permissible content limits are not indicated (≤), as well as impurities not included in the table, the content of which is not determined. Beryllium is not determined, but is introduced by calculation.
