Alloy V-1461 is used: for the production of sheets, plates and extruded products. It is recommended for riveted and welded structures of aerospace vehicles (plating and power set of airframe structural elements), reduces the mass of 8−15% and performance in a wide range of temperatures — from cryogenic to elevated.

High-strength weldable corrosion-resistant alloy of low density, high elastic modulus, has high characteristics.

OST 1 90048-90 hydrogen content of not more than 0.3 cm ³ / 100g metal. Mass fraction of each other impurity (not regulated) ≤ 0.05%, total mass fraction of other impurities ≤ 0.10%. Beryllium is not determined by chemical analysis, but is introduced by calculation.
