|Designation GOST Cyrillic||40ГМФР|
|Designation GOST Latin||40GMFP|
|By chemical elements||40MnMoVB|
40ГМФР steel is used: for the manufacture of rollers track rollers of crawler tractors industrial excavators, wear-resistant tips of the teeth of the buckets and other spare parts for transport and heavy machinery, resistant to abrasion at operating temperatures from -50 °C to +50 °C.
Samozashchita steel with high hardenability and wear resistance.

According to TU 14-1-4566-89 and TU 14-1-4939-90 the chemical composition is given for steel grade 40GMFR. In steel, aluminum and titanium are introduced from the calculation of their residual content in steel of not less than 0.020% each. Mass fraction of residual copper, nickel, tungsten and permissible deviations in chemical composition in finished rolled products must comply with GOST 4543.
According to TU 14-1-4939-90, according to the total mass fraction of sulfur and phosphorus in%, steel is divided into 4 groups: 1 сф - 0,060-0,067%, 2сф - 0,059-0,050%, 3сф - 0,049 - 0,040%, 4сф - 0,039 - 0,030 %. According to the mass fraction of each of the residual elements in%: nickel, copper, tungsten and titanium, the steel is divided into 5 groups: 1oc - 0.25 - 0.34% (except tungsten and titanium), 2oc - 0.24 - 0.16% (except titanium, tungsten 0.16-0.20%), 3oc - 0.15-0.10%, 4oc - 0.09-0.05%, 5oc - less than 0.05% (titanium 0.02 - 0.05%). The group for the total mass fraction of sulfur and phosphorus, as well as the group by the mass fraction of the residual elements, is indicated in the order. If there are no requirements in the order of the group, the manufacturer chooses. It is allowed to make steel by the total mass fraction of sulfur, phosphorus and by the mass fraction of the residual elements not higher than those specified in the order.

|Macrostructure and pollution||Macrostructure of steel when testing for treated templeto or fracture should not have shrinkage, porosity, bubbles, cracks, delamination, inclusions, placenow and must meet the requirements of GOST 4543 for high-quality steel. Pollution steel non-metallic inclusions (oxides, silicates) should be no more than 4 points in the evaluation on the average score.|
|Microstructure||Depth bezoperatsionnogo layer should not exceed 1,0-1,5% of the diameter of the rental. The size of austenite grains in the steel should be not larger than 5 rooms.|
|Particularities of production of goods||The rental comes with a normalized value of hardenability. The hardness at a distance of 5 mm from the cooled end of the shares to be not less than 51,5 HRC (HRC 50), on distance 15 mm - not less than 46,5 HRC (HRC 45).|
