9Х4М3Ф2АГСТ steel is used: for the manufacture of cutting and threading tools for machining high-strength and high-temperature materials; tool, working with high impact loads; tools for machining carbon and low alloy steels, cast iron and nonferrous metals.
The high speed steel with increased strength and increased tendency to decarburization and combustion of the molybdenum.

According to TU 14-19-95-90, the steel is introduced by calculation and chemical analysis is not determined: boron - by 0.0030%, REM - by 0.080% and calcium by 0.080%. In the finished metal, deviations in chemical composition are allowed by mass fraction: carbon ± 0.030%, silicon ± 0.050%, manganese ± 0.10%, chromium ± 0.30%, molybdenum + 0.10 / -0.050%, vanadium ± 0, 10%, titanium ± 0.010%, nitrogen ± 0.010%. A residual mass fraction of tungsten not exceeding 0.60% is allowed.

|Particularities of production of goods||Bars hot rolled and forged on the other 14-19-95-90 are supplied in the annealed condition according to the mode of the manufacturer, with hardness not exceeding 269 HB (indentation diameter not less than 3.7 mm). Hardness of the samples after quenching and two-three times of the holiday must be at least 62 HRC. To control the hardness after quenching the samples subjected to heat treatment regime: Quenching in oil with 1205-1220 °C, two to three-fold vacation at 550-560 °C with exposure for 1 hour and subsequent air cooling. The holding time for hardening of the samples must meet the requirements of GOST 19265.|
