ZMK produced the first batch of stainless steel for shipbuilders

At Zlatoust Steel Plant (Russia, Chelyabinsk Region) made the first 20 tons of stainless metal contracts with shipbuilders. This is a pilot batch of rolled round cross-section of the hot-rolled austenitic grade 08X18H10T-VD with a diameter of 30−180 mm. Products successfully passed the conformity of the macrostructure of the alloy with the applicable standards in the factory laboratory and passed the external audit representatives of the Classification Society «Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.»

Zlatoust Metallurgical Plant — the oldest Russian enterprise for the production of special steels (the first batch of metal at the facilities of the plant was cast in 1902). The range includes more than 1000 ZMK stainless steel, heat-resistant, spring-spring, tools, bearing, structural and other special steels, which are produced in strict compliance with the stringent requirements of the current quality management system of the enterprise.

The production and technological base of the Zlatoust plant consists of three electric smelting plant and two rolling and hearth, termokalibrovochny and blacksmith shop. Today, the plant provides an uninterrupted supply of metal to meet the production needs of many organizations, both in the domestic market of Russia and far beyond its borders.
