Manufacturing

Tungsten wires are made from powder rods that are rolled in a rotary forging machine. A rod is obtained that is drawn into a tungsten wire with a diameter of 1 to 3 mm by drawing. This grade is used in x-ray engineering and radioelectronics for manufacturing of heaters and cathodes for electronic devices which are intended to operate under conditions of vibration, shock, t° 2100 °C. Tungsten wires are used to manufacture cathodes for gas-discharge and electronic devices, bushings and other parts that do not require tungsten with special additives. Tungsten wire for lighting devices is produced in accordance with GOST 19 671-91 with diameter of 19.5 μm - 1.5 mm. Such wire is used for the production of surgical instruments, parts of rockets, aircraft, textile equipment.
