One of the main advantages of stamp steels is their ability to harden, as a result of which the steels acquire the necessary hardness, mechanical strength under different types of loading - compression, tension and bending, as well as the ability to resist abrasion, dynamic and shock loads.

Hardening factors

The hardenability of pressed steels is understood as their ability to keep their high hardness, even after tempering, which does not increase their brittleness characteristics. The hardenability depends on the amount of residual austenite retained in the structure during the pearlitic and intermediate transformations.
