Welding semiautomatic welding technology
Welding semiautomatic hose type can increase the productivity of welding operations, and are used for large volumes of welding of copper products. To ensure the stability of the process and to prevent the possible oxidation of the weld zone by air oxygen, the process is carried out under a flux layer. Supplier Evek GmbH offers to buy welded copper of domestic and foreign production at an affordable price in a wide range. We will ensure the delivery of products to any point of the continent. The price is optimal.
As fluxes are used substances of three groups — with an increased content of silicon and manganese compounds, with a reduced content of silicon and the presence of manganese, as well as fluxes of the manganese-free group. In addition to fused fluxes used for direct current welding, ceramic fluxes are also used, the advantage of which is the ability to conduct deoxidation of welded sections and additionally alloy them with other chemical elements. Ceramic fluxes, mainly containing spar, alumina and marble, make it possible to conduct copper welding using alternating current, which simplifies the organization of the process.
Types of welding wire
- • Copper, grades M1, M2 or M3. Wire with a diameter of less than 3 mm is pretreated by drawing, providing some increase in strength properties;
- • Bronze, made of silicon or phosphorous bronze. Such wire is distinguished by its high strength and elasticity, however it increases the probability of welding fissures, therefore it is not used for welding thin-walled copper parts;
- • Non-melting, tungsten. It is used for welding thick-walled products under a layer of flux, excludes oxidation of the weld zone, and is used for particularly critical products.
Semi-automatic copper welding modes
Before welding the semiautomatic device, the surface of the welded parts is cleaned. Joints are preliminarily cut (this is mandatory when welding copper products with a thickness of 4… 5 mm). The gap, taking into account the significant thermal expansion of copper in the welding process, should be at least 1.2… 1.5 mm. Under it lay a layer of flux or graphite liner, which eliminates heat loss during welding. Before welding, the products are heated to temperatures not lower than 250… 300 ° С.
