Titanium alloys grade
Titanium and titanium alloys have proven themselves as high-tech materials which are used in various spheres of human activity. Combination of strength and weight of titanium alloys is much better than in most other metals.
Titanium and alloy is 20 times more resistant to erosion than the alloy on basis of Cu-Ni with a similar thermal conductivity. High strength of titanium allows it to reduce the thickness of walls of manufactured equipment.
We can define a lot of titanium alloy properties. That is the only element that combines unique combination of beauty, strength, lightness and biocompatibility with human body.
Alloys of titanium have high corrosion resistance in atmosphere, fresh water and sea water solutions of most chlorides, hypochlorites, chlorine dioxide and many other mineral salts as at normal and at elevated temperatures. Titanium and alloy has also high corrosion resistance in acidic media (nitric and chromic acids, etc.) and in alkali solution.
Grades of titanium
Titanium grade 1– is gray color metal, durable, light with good corrosion and chemical resistance.
Titanium grade 1 is resistant to most aggressive media, to changes in temperature, strong and light. Scientists call it “the metal of the Space Age.” It is indispensable in the construction of modern aircraft, helicopters and missiles. Titanium alloy uses in space vehicles and heavy-duty engine-powered submarines and high-speed vessels.
Titanium grade 1 has a significant electrical resistance which in combination with nonmagnetic makes it indispensable in electronics and electrical engineering.

Titanium alloys
Titanium alloys are most often alloyed with Al, Mo, Mn, Cr, Si, Sn, Zr, Fe. Titanium alloy VT5 contains 5% of aluminum and more durable compared to pure titanium, but less technologically.
