The MA5 alloy

Designation

Name The value
Designation GOST Cyrillic МА5
Designation GOST Latin MA5
Transliteration MA5
By chemical elements CuAl5

Description

The MA5 alloy used: for the manufacture of semi-finished products (sheets, plates, bars, rods, profiles, strips, tubes, wire, stampings and forgings) by hot deformation, as well as ingots and slabs intended for the production of all relevant components with maximum operating temperatures up to +150 °C — long, up to +200 °C — short-term.

Mg is the basis.
According to GOST 14957-76 the mass fraction of other impurities is ≤ 0.30%. "Other impurities" include impurities whose permissible content limits are not indicated (≤), as well as impurities not included in the table, the content of which is not determined. Beryllium is not determined, but is introduced by calculation.
