Technological properties

Name The value
Weldability Automatic arc welding with non-consumable electrode in a continuous mode, manual argon arc welding with non-consumable electrode (filler or without filler material). Allowed the use of automatic arc welding submerged arc and manual arc welding with coated electrodes.
Microstructure The content of alpha-phase should not exceed 1.0%.
Features of heat treatment Steel products intended for use in aggressive environments and can be tempered, annealed. To ensure high corrosion resistance and an optimal combination of strength and plasticity of steel products are subjected to hardening from 1050-1100 °C and cooled in water or air. The holding time at the heating for hardening to products with a wall thickness up to 10 mm - 30 min, over 10 mm - 20 min + 1 min per 1 mm maximum thickness. In order to remove residual stresses resulting from the plastic deformation and welding, and also prevent warpage and stress corrosion cracking products is subjected to annealing at 870-900 °C, exposure time of 2-3 h, cooling with the furnace to 300 °C (speed of 50-100 °C/h), then - on the air.
Corrosion resistance The steel is resistant to nitrous gases at temperatures up to +80 °C. Steel 03Х18Н11 has a high resistance to intergranular corrosion than steel of the brand 08KH18N10T and a high resistance to stab corrosion than steel of the brand 12Х18Н12Б.
