According to TU NZL 342-89 the chemical composition is given for steel grade 27HN3M2FA. For the steel of electroslag remelting 27ХН3М2ФА-Ш, manganese content in the range of 0.20-0.60% is allowed.
According to TU 108.11.389-87, the chemical composition is given for steel grade 27HN3M2FA of the initial melting produced in open-hearth or electric-arc furnaces with subsequent processing at the out-of-furnace refining and vacuuming plant (the casting is carried out in a vacuum). It is allowed to smelt the parent metal in a sour open-hearth furnace by a duplex process or in the main electric arc furnace with a vacuum casting. Deviations in chemical composition are allowed: by carbon ± 0.010%, by silicon ± 0.020%, by manganese ± 0.020%, by molybdenum ± 0.020%, by chromium ± 0.050%, by nickel -0.10%, by vanadium +0.020%. After the ESR, a determination of sulfur is made, which should not be more than 0.015%.
