According to TU 14-1-2012-77 the chemical composition is given for steel 42Х2НМБР-ВД (АБО70Н-ВД). Boron is introduced by calculation and chemical analysis is not determined. Deviations in chemical composition - in accordance with GOST 4543, except sulfur, phosphorus and manganese. Deviations in sulfur and phosphorus are allowed, provided that their total content does not exceed 0.020%. Deviations in the content of manganese should be within the range of +0.10 / -0.15%. The residual content of tungsten should not exceed 0.30%. The residual copper content should not exceed 0.25%. A technological addition of vanadium in an amount up to 0.15% is allowed.

Macrostructure and pollution On the other 14-1-2012-77 in the macrostructure of steel slabs are allowed: - point nonuniformity ≤ 2 points; - the Central porosity ≤ 1 score; - square of exudation ≤ 1 points; layer-by-layer crystallization of ≤ 3 points. Pollution steel non-metallic inclusions should be: - sulphides ≤ 1.5 points; - oxides of stroke ≤ 1.5 points; - the fragile silicates ≤ 1.5 points; - the silicates plastic ≤ 1.5 points; - the nitrides of all kinds ≤ 2.0 points. Allowed attacks to 2 points no more than 2 samples of the sulphides, oxides, stroke, silicates fragile and plastic. Allowed attacks to 3 points with no more than two samples of the nitrides of all kinds, provided that in this case the sum of points of all types of inclusions does not exceed 5.
Microstructure The size of austenite grains in the steel slabs on the other 14-1-2012-77 in the state of delivery must be no larger than 5 points according to GOST 5639.
