Р12Ф2К5М3 steel is used: for the production of hot rolled and forged round bars and square cross-sections up to 80 mm, intended for the manufacture of cutting tools used in machining high strength, heat resistant and stainless steels and alloys (shaped cutters, drills, reamers, core drills, taps, broaches, milling cutters (worm, disk, end, special), dalbekov, shaver).

In the finished metal, deviations in chemical composition are permissible: chromium +0.30%, tungsten 0.50%, cobalt + 0.50%, manganese ± 0.150%, silicon + 0.10%. Titanium, zirconium and cerium are introduced into the metal by calculation and chemical analysis are not determined.

Operating conditions Steel combines high heat resistance with high hardness. Has wear resistance at elevated temperatures and high resistance of plastic deformation. Also, steel stamps Р12Ф2К5М3, has better performance, due to the additional doping with cobalt and molybdenum.
