According to the Federal State Statistics Service, in February of this year, raw nickel production fell by 6.8% compared to January, while compared to February 2009 — grew by 5.4%.

Release of cobalt, which is produced simultaneously with nickel relative to January 2010 declined by 9.5%, against the same has increased by 1.5% last year to February.

In the first two months of this year the production of raw nickel in Russia on the outcome of January-February 2009 increased by 7.0%, cobalt — 6.0%.
