According to the Federal State Statistics Service, alumina production in Russia in June of this year grew by 18.4% compared to the same period of 2009, primary aluminum production — by 3.9%. Release of rods and profiles increased by 36.4%, flat-rolled products — 27.5%, and foil — decreased by 0.2%.
Overall, the first half of 2010 the production of alumina with respect to the results of January-June 2009 increased by 10.2%, primary aluminum production decreased by 0.1%. Release of rods and profiles «jumped» by 46.6%, flat-rolled products — by 23.3%, the foil — 32.7%.
Trends in the development of the domestic primary aluminum market and its deep processing products will be discussed at the 3rd International Conference «Aluminum: alloys, rolled and profiles for industry and construction», to be held in May 2011 in Moscow.
