Kazakhstan: the signing of a tripartite agreement was

Jenis Beibut, who is the technical director of the Ust-Kamenogorsk Titanium and Magnesium Works («UKTMK»), provided «Kazinform» information about the signing of a tripartite agreement providing for expansion of the use of titanium products in the petrochemical, oil and gas industry of Kazakhstan. Signature, the protagonists of which are the Ministry of Oil and Gas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and «UKTMK» took place in Astana after the panel session Economic Forum in memory of Bagdat Shayakhmetova, President of Ust-Kamenogorsk plant.

The forum covered «Joint-Stock Company Development Programme» UKTMK «before 2022» program includes several projects aimed at the development of the titanium industry, the total value of which is equal to 20 billion tenge. In turn, the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan has introduced major projects in the State Program of the 2nd five-year plan of forced industrial-innovative development of the country in 2015−2019, respectively. The five-year plan includes four projects, three of which have already been implemented in the period.

As noted by Beibut Jenis in a conversation with a representative of «Kazinform» JSC, «UKTMK» is a vertically integrated producer of titanium with the developed process from mining ore through to the final release of the goods to the presence of high added value, in this case is 100% delivery for export to be sent to industrially-developed countries. All products have the necessary certificates from leading manufacturers in the aerospace industry. At the session held in Astana were considered and analyzed the development of the market of titanium, as well as to identify the most promising areas for the development of high-quality titanium and magnesium industry in the country in view of the global economic crisis in the industry. The Programme of development of the industry considering the possibility of growth in percent of Kazakhstani content by expanding the scope of products.

Beibut Jenis stressed the fact that for the qualitative improvement of the titanium and magnesium production in the country is necessary in every way to develop and strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation companies, research centers and public authorities in Kazakhstan.
