"Norilsk Nickel" receives proposals from Chinese investors

After the meeting of the Russian-Chinese commission on investment cooperation in the Mining and Metallurgical Company «Norilsk Nickel» has received 12 proposals made by interested potential partners from China regarding the investment project Bystrinsky GOK. Mining and Processing Enterprise, engaged in the processing of copper, iron, gold, able to process annually about 1 mln. Tons of ore, according to preliminary estimates will be launched in 2017. The plant, located in the Trans-Baikal region, refers to the first-class assets, «Norilsk Nickel», the investment foreseen in the development of the project in the years 2014−2017, are estimated at 1.1 bln. During the meeting representatives of the «Norilsk Nickel» in addition to the project Bystrinsky GOK provided Chinese partners and other interesting fields, expressing at the same time enjoy the interest of Chinese companies. According to Pavel Fedorov said Executive Director of «Norilsk Nickel», in addition to proposals for investments in Bystrinsky mine did and suggestions for the guaranteed purchase of products, as well as strategic cooperation in the course of the project. According to experts, new manufacturing processes make it possible to reduce losses of non-ferrous metals over 110 tons each year.
