Machining, rolling and deforming of tin

Are you interested in machining, rolling and deforming tin? The supplier Evek GmbH offers to buy tin at an affordable price in a wide range. We provide delivery of products anywhere in the continent. The price is optimal.

Composition

The chemical composition of tin foil is based on 01 tin according to OST 663 with addition of 1,9...3,1% antimony. The presence of lead in the composition of about 1% and copper in the range of 0.05...0.1% is allowed. Sheets of tin foil after rolling the foil has a size range from 150x315 to 475x600 mm. The thickness of the material is in the range 0.01 ... 0.085 mm.

Relevance

In economic practice, finds a wide use of tin foil, which is obtained by rolling. Tin foil, often called stanyol, is used mainly for wrapping foodstuffs, as it protects them from increased humidity and external atmospheric influences. Staniol is also used in the electrical industry, particularly in the production of capacitors, as well as in the armaments industry. Tin foil, rolled from an alloy that contains up to 2% copper, is used in the manufacture of mirrors. There, a thin film of foil is applied to glass and then converted into amalgam.

Stamping

In stamping technology, tin is almost never used. The metal of the original tin blanks is too ductile to be successfully deformed. The supplier Evek GmbH offers to buy a wide range of tin products at an affordable price. We provide delivery of products to any point on the continent. The price is optimal.

Tin Sheet

Tin is poured at high speed through a gutter in the mold, where it solidifies to sheet thickness of 0,10 ... 0,20 mm (sheet dimensions correspond to the size of the mold bottom, but usually not exceeding 1000x2000 mm). Then the tin plates are gathered into packages and pressed on a screw friction press at room temperature to the thickness of 0,05 ... 0,08 mm. The sheets are fed under the press slide automatically. The package can contain up to 150...200 sheets of tin; For production of tin sheets with smaller thicknesses cold rolling technologies are used. Initial cast sheets of tin are formed into a bundle and placed between 1 to 2 mm thick tin plates. Then the bundle is rolled in several steps (sometimes with intermediate annealing) to the required rod thickness. In this process only the plates between the riveted plates are subject to deformation. As a result, the final product is given a very smooth surface that does not require final finishing.
