Alloy grade 03KhN28MDT (EP516)) is used in the manufacture of welded equipment for the production of any concentration of sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid extraction, nitrophos production, as well as other compounds with high aggressiveness. The main difference between 03XHN28MDT and 06XHN28MDT is that the former has a higher resistance against intergranular corrosion of welded joints andAlloy 03CrN28MDT produced according to 1) TU 14-1-756-73; 2) GOST 5632-72; 3) GOST 7350-77; 4) GOST 5949-75. Physical and mechanical properties of the alloy - susceptibility to burr, processability are similar to those of 06KhN28MDT.

Physical properties at t ° 20 ° C

The density is 7.96 g/cm3; magnetic permeability in the 500 E field = 1.255 (μTl - m)/A; specific electrical resistance is 0.75 Ohm-mm2/m, and thermal conductivity is about 0.134 - 10² W/(m - K). Corrosion resistance

According to GOST 5949-75 and GOST 7350-77 steel 03ХН28МДТ must have resistance to intergranular corrosion by the method of B and VU GOST 6032-89 (duration of testing in a control solution of 144 hours and 48 hours, respectively). TU 14-1-756-73 normalizes such tests by method B. The tests are carried out after provoking heating at 700 °C for 60 minutes (GOST 5949-75 and 7350-77), and 20 minutes (TU 14-L756-73). If we compare with the alloy 06ХН28МДТ, the low-carbon alloy 03ХН28МДТ has a higher resistance against intergranular corrosion in welded joints. And their resistance to general corrosion is similar. Process parameters

The temperature range of 06CrNi28MdT hot deformation for forging, forging and rolling is 1170-900°C. The alloy is satisfactorily machined by cutting. Alloy 03CrN28MdT is satisfactorily welded by electric arc, argon arc manual and automatic welding. As an additive material is always used wire Sv-01HN28MDT during manual arc welding electrodes OZL-17U, during automatic arc welding - flux AH-18.
