Characteristics

Alloy grade 49KF belongs to the precision magnetic-soft alloys and has a magnetic saturation of at least 2.35 T, a high Curie point of 950 °C and high magnetostriction. Magnetically soft materials have high magnetic initial permeability and can be magnetized to saturation in weak fields. These include alloys that in addition to iron include cobalt and nickel.

Production

The group of magnetically soft materials includes especially pure ferromagnetic iron, electrical low-carbon (unalloyed and siliconized), steel low-coercive precision alloys on iron-nickel base, powder composite ferroalloys. They are melted in special metallurgical furnaces. The cast ingots are subjected to forging or rolling.

Application

Magnetic cores of transformers, microphones, pole tips, solenoids. Radio and electrotechnical innovative equipment, automation and telemechanics systems, measuring, computing equipment. Production of electronic memory components, magnetic cores for work in sea water, magnetic antennas. Production of precise electronic devices, household appliances, lasers, metrology equipment.
