Production and grades

VТ 1-00 and VТ 1-0 sheets and plates are up to 2mm thick and 5000 mm long.  Titanium sheet up to 10, 5 mm thick is also 5000 mm long. It can be planished, annealed and corrected. These sheets are usually standard, their surface don’t have any defects, such as cracks, exfoliations, slight tears and hollows. Sheet and plate can vary depending on chemical composition, trimming, length, and thickness in concordance with international standards.

Annealing is the first stage of sheet production. After annealing, titanium product is rectified and pared. Edge mustn’t be deformed.

Edges 5, 6 or VТ 20 titanium sheet shouldn’t be polished because of further cutting out and polishing, the other way no one could buy titanium sheets.

Titanium products vary in concordance with GOST 90013-81:

• According to finishing qualities: High finishing (H), advanced finishing (A), usual finishing (without literal labeling);
• According to flatness there are: enhanced finishing (e) and normal flatness (without labeling).

Titanium sheet OT-4 is made of titanium and aluminum additives. OT-4 is also heat-resistant and can bear temperatures up to +350°С more than 2000 hours. 0T-4 sheet-metal can be welded by electron-beam, argon-arc and resistance welding.

Titanium of VT grades can be used for detail production, which can work at t° up to +450°С.

For those who want to buy titanium sheets grade 1, grade 2 can be up to 2mm thick and up to 2000 mm long. Titanium sheet grade 1, grade 2 can be 2, 0- 10, 5 thick and 1000-5000 mm length. Sheet and tube can be annealed and corrected or annealed and ironed with further correction. Quality VT sheets must be truncated orthogonally. Edges mustn’t have rough surfaces.
