Evek GmbH offers stainless steel tubes 1.4104 at affordable prices from the manufacturer. Fast and high quality delivery to any location specified by the customer is guaranteed.

Composition and properties

Stainless steel, which is produced in accordance with ASTM and AISI standards, has the following chemical composition:

Chem element . Carbon Crim-nium Manganese Sulfur Phosphorus Chromium Molybdenum
Content, % 0,10...0,17 Up to 1 Up to 1.5 Up to 0,15...0,35 Up to 0.040 15,5...17,5 0,20...0,60

The steel has foreign analogues. A similar product manufactured by European steelmakers under EN 10088-3 was designated as X14CrMoS17, and there are no analogues of this steel in the CIS.

For comparison, here is the table of chemical composition of steel X14CrMoS17:

Chem-element Carbon Crme-nium Manganese Sulfur Phosphorus Chromium Molybdenum
Content, % 0,10...0,17 Up to 1 Up to 1.5 Up to 0,15...0,35 Up to 0.040 15,0...17,0 0,30...0,80

Tubular rolled products from corrosion-resistant steel 1.4104 are supplied with the following physical and mechanical properties - density 7.7 g/cm3, ultimate tensile strength up to 750 MPa, hardness 112...120 HV and relative elongation 15...22% (lower values correspond to larger diameter tubes). The steel can be delivered to consumers both in hot- and cold-rolled state, in this case the preliminary annealing can be carried out. Parameters of this type of heat treatment: heating to 750...8200 C, followed by cooling first in the furnace and then in the open air. After this type of de-strengthening treatment, the steel can be subjected to cold plastic deformation.

Application

Rolled hot-rolled tubes of this steel are used for installation of pipelines that pump chemically active media at elevated temperatures up to350-4000 C. Parts from steel 1.4104 are also used for manufacturing tubular elements for powerful compressor units that work in air with high humidity, as well as for blowers of metallurgical equipment.

For production of complex spatial constructions tubular rolled products are subjected to repeated annealing that increases plasticity of metal, and allows producing defect-free bending (in this case impact toughness of tubular semi-finished product should be no less than 43 kJ/cm3). With increasing percentage of molybdenum in steel its strength after deformation increases.

It is convenient and expedient to buy 1.4104 stainless steel tubular products using the advantageous offers of Evek GmbH. Product deliveries are carried out only after careful quality control of the final rolled product, which is confirmed by the corresponding quality certificates.
