Beta Alloys titanium alloys

Technical characteristics of beta titanium

Titanium β-alloys are deformable, contain at least 90% Ti, are characterized by high corrosion resistance, combine high specific strength and impact toughness. Melting point is 970-1010°. Widely in demand, composed of aluminum, molybdenum, vanadium. Aluminum contributes to the stabilization of β-phase and hinders the formation of alpha-2 superstructure in α-phase. Aging and hardening increase the strength level by 15 - 20% while maintaining ductility.

Mechanical characteristics of titanium β-Alloys (t° 20°C).
