Production

Stainless steel plate of heat-resistant material CrN77TYR on nickel base is a multifunctional material with exceptional capabilities. It is available in thicknesses of 0.5-12 mm. There are differences in rolling accuracy, degree of drawing, variety of surface treatment, size of cutting, nature of edge. At present there is no unified (world) system of designation of rolled materials. A well-established alphanumeric designation has been adopted.

Letters are used to denote the names of the main chemical elements (X - Chrome, N - nickel, T - titanium, U - aluminum), P - cerium contained in the alloy XN77TYR, and its melting processes (BT);

Quality of the sheet

Stainless steel sheet XN77TYR refers to the austenitic rolled steel with high corrosion resistance, heat resistance and heat resistance. The presence of chromium in the material sheet provides not only heat resistance, but also chemical and corrosion resistance through the formation of a thin protective film of oxides on the surface. The nickel base of the material gives the stainless steel sheet the necessary ductility and toughness. This makes it easy to work with pressure. It has high strength characteristics in all conditions, good resistance to the action of organic acids, weak mineral acids and nitric acid. However, sulfuric and hydrochloric acids dissolve such sheet. It has a short-term tensile strength of 930 MPa and 20% elongation at break. Heat treatment involves hardening from 1080 to 1120 °C, with cooling in water.

Physical properties

The density of the sheet at 20 °C is 8.2 g/cm³. The modulus of elasticity of the first kind is 1.96 MPa and coefficient of thermal (linear) expansion 16.8 1/ deg at 100 °C. Thermal conductivity coefficient (13,9 - 31,1 W/(m-rad) in the temperature range of 100 - 900°C). Finished sheet can be subjected to various types of processing while maintaining its basic properties and aesthetic appearance. Compared with black metal such sheet provides structural elements of greater strength, lightness, durability, simplifies maintenance. The disadvantages of the sheet include its high cost. However, given the possibility of long-term use without special maintenance, the use of sheet is more economical in comparison with other materials.

Applications

Aerospace, engineering, petrochemical, medical industries. This material is in demand for production of combustion chambers, turbine parts operating at high temperatures in aggressive environment. It is used to produce sheet engine parts such as metal cylinder head gaskets, manifolds and exhaust manifolds. It is used for pump sheet parts used in acid mine waters. The recommended long-term (up to 10,000 hours) application temperature of this sheet is limited to 750 °C.
