Composition and properties
Steel AISI 439 (1.4510) is a low carbon stainless steel of the ferritic class, which is additionally stabilised with titanium. The chemical composition of the steel meets the classification requirements for UMS classification and represented by the following chemical elements:

Moreover, as the metallurgical inevitable impurities, the steel contains such elements as sulfur and nitrogen (0.03%) and phosphorus (to 0.040%).
Characterization of corrosion resistance of steel
Due to significant amounts of chromium in its composition, steel AISI 439 (1.4510) actively resists pitting corrosion is dangerous from the point of view of running durability of the physical process, which consists in the gradual formation of microwave and surface cracks.
