Chemical Composition

25CrM alloyed structural steel with high content of chromium, manganese and molybdenum is produced in CIS in accordance with GOST 4543 specifications. The chemical composition of 25CrNiGM steel is given in the table below:

Component C Si Mn Cr Mo
Percentage content in steel 0,23...0,29 0.17...0,37 0,90...1,20 0,90...1.20 0,20...0,30

GOST allows the presence in the steel 25 KGM such metallurgical impurities such as sulfur and phosphorus in an amount not exceeding 0,025%.

Of the closest foreign counterparts should be specified steel grade 20CrMo5/1.7264. It is produced in Europe under the norms of DIN 17006. The composition of this steel is slightly different:

Component C Si Mn Cr Mo
Percentage content in steel 0,18...0,23 0,15...0,35 0,90...1,20 1,10...1,40 0,20...0,30

DIN 17006 states that the steel may contain traces of nickel, and the tolerance on the percentage of sulfur and phosphorus is 0.035%.

Buy at producer price sheet, strip and wire of alloyed structural steel 25ХГМ, 20CrMo5 (1.7264). offers the company Evek GmbH. The supplier provides favorable price for rolled steel from the manufacturer, prompt delivery of products to the customer is guaranteed.

Properties and application

A distinctive feature of chromium-manganese steels with high molybdenum content (25CrGM and 20CrMo5/1.7264 grades) is their increased strength under continuous contact loads. Billets made of such steels are used in the production of flat parts subjected to high contact loads and also as billets for automated upsetting of high-strength fasteners. These steels can be submerged-arc welding as well as successfully hardening heat-treated. Plate forming is limited by drawing.

The 25CrGM, 20CrMo5 (1.7264) steels are characterized by the following mechanical properties after hardening:

  • Tensile strength - 1200 MPa;
  • yield strength - 1100 MPa;
  • Elongation range - 10%;
  • Relative narrowing - 45%;
  • Impact toughness - 800 kJ/m2.

Buy a bargain price from the manufacturer of sheet, strip, wire alloyed steel grades 25KhGM, 20CrMo5 (1.7264) offers the company Evek GmbH. Supplier provides compliance with the assortment of ordered rolled products, its prompt delivery to the point specified by the customer is guaranteed.
